The IXPN on Thursday on 17th May, 2012 added another feather to its cap by completion and subsequent commissioning of its Port Harcourt branch by the Director General of the National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Prof. Cleopas Angaye. Also present at the commissioning were some staff and Board of Directors of the IXPN, intending members to the IXPN, representatives from the Rivers state government, stakeholders, representatives from the Higher Education Institutes (HEIs), media etc. |

The IXPN Port Harcourt branch which is the third of the branches meant to be established in the six geo-political zones is already up and running thus members connected at the branch will enjoy the benefits of peering with other members connected to the IXPN head office in Lagos.
